The Inspiron 1525 is a laptop designed and distributed by Dell as part of their Inspiron range. There is also an AMD variant known as the Inspiron 1526. On June 26, 2008, this laptop was followed by the launch of Inspiron 1535, otherwise known as a Dell Studio laptop. On January 6, 2009, the Inspiron 1525 was replaced by the Inspiron 1545, which provided most of the higher-end configuration options at a lower initial price, but lacked features such as an HDMI port, LED indicator lights and two headphone jacks. The laptop was discontinued on February 26, 2009, which left Inspiron 1545 as Dell's 15-inch budget laptop.

Overview
After selling in bulk, the Dell Inspiron 1520 received widespread acclaim about its size, and a small screen. The Inspiron 1525 is intended to address some of the problems with the Inspiron 1520. The 1525 has been described by reviewers as weighing about six pounds - half a pound lighter than 1520. This laptop can be thought of as a mid-range Dell computer, between the small 1420 model and the XPS M1530 model expensive. Laptops also fix the perceived deficiencies that have infected Inspiron laptops for a decade; they are large and boxed, but the Inspiron 1525 chassis uses a new edge design that appears on all current Dell laptops.

The most prominent difference between this laptop and its predecessor, is that the 1520 model comes with a dedicated graphics card while the 1525 does not. It has been speculated that this is an attempt by Dell to attract a wider market of computer consumers. In a 2008 processor speed test, the Inspiron 1525 put 14 of the 18 computers tested. The touchpad has been upgraded from 1520, with being designed to allow faster scrolling through web pages. Oddly enough this model contains a SIM card slot under the battery compartment. Anyhow, reading the data, or using the Internet from a SIM card is not possible without a separate wireless modem card.
Software
The Inspiron 1525 is usually equipped with a version of Windows Vista, Windows 7 or the pre-installed Ubuntu Operating System. Both 32-bit and 64-bit work. Ubuntu 12.04 and Linux Debian Wheezy are known to work out of the box on this model.
Upgrade
The Inspiron 1525 can be upgraded to Windows 10 32-bit or 64-bit.
Supports up to 4 GB of DDR2 RAM and can hold at least 2Ã, TB hard disk space. With an ExpressCard USB 3.0 adapter, it can also support USB 3.0.
Graphics card can not be partially upgraded because there is no graphics card; the graphics processor is integrated into the motherboard and can not be removed.
Processors can be upgraded to each of the Intel Core2 Duo P P cell processors in the T8x00 series, and for certain T9x00 series processors whose FSB speed is limited to 800 MT/Sec. It is recommended to flash the system BIOS to the latest version before attempting to upgrade the CPU.
Modern Solid State Drive has been successfully installed and used on laptops, including the 8GB SSD Samsung 250GB. Although this installer is having trouble installing a smaller SSD (7mm) instead of the standard 2.5-inch HDD, almost all SSDs now include a spacer that removes the problem. In addition, this installer problem can be easily avoided by simply positioning the computer on the upper right side (not upside down) when sliding in the new SSD. Here's an example. Although this computer does not support newer SATA 3 standards, all modern SSDs are compatible with older SATA 2 standards, and work well in this application, even at SATA 2 speeds.

Customization
Users can decide which components they want to include, during the ordering process, by choosing from various hardware on the website. Possible components include various processors, operating systems, graphics cards, webcam and various other peripherals. In addition, Bluetooth and integrated mobile broadband cards can also be installed on demand, and the default battery can be replaced with alternatives.
Reception
Inspiron 1525 has received a lot of positive attention. General computer users welcome relatively low prices, as well as easily accessible volume control keys, and hardware reviewers praised the sophistication of laptops, as well as system specifications and light. Important Hardware Issues
Dell Inspiron 1525. while the most effective & amp; Well designed laptops, do have some problems. What you should consider before buying.
Because this particular model (Dell Inspiron 1525 "Colored Top"), is no longer available for purchase as a new retail product. You will often find them as "Used" or "Renewable" units. This is important enough to ensure that you understand what is being recorded by this laptop, and that you will be protected if the problem occurs.
First & amp; Notably, this laptop uses a single (unusual) heat-sink to remove heat from the CPU & amp; GPU. It was fairly common during the mid-2000s to use one hot corridor for both. While the Inspiron 1525 is not the only model that uses a single copper alloy channel, this is one of the more common. Inspiron 1525, the model will combine Intel Core 2 or Intel Dual Core CPU. This is particularly problematic when combined with nVidia graphics GPU, although most commonly found with "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator", PP29L-HDCP.
Although it is NOT normal for laptops (generally) to run "Hotter" than desktops, this temperature difference should be no more than a few degrees (5-10 F). When some of these processing chips are combined on a single "heatsink", this model can run as much as 15 to 30 F hotter. Especially when running video-intensive applications, requires more instructions to be pushed into the GPU for processing (i.e. YouTube, Video/TV & online games). So, while, specially designed for these tasks, they are the most problematic. Generally manifested by horizontal (multi-color) lines on the screen, blinks or BSOD with non-descriptive error messages.
Some of these problems may be solved by forcing additional airflow to reduce overall heat, through the use of external cooling fans. The problem will not go away without professional intervention.
Another important issue, degradation of CPU/GPU (over time) because, especially to extend too hot. While fan failure & amp; ventilation obstacles will exacerbate this problem, this problem, in addition to the failure of the common components of a period too long too hot outside the components tested safety margins.
