Battery D, 1st Pennsylvania Light Artillery is a light artillery battery that served in the Union Army as part of the infantry division of the Pennsylvania Reserves during the American Civil War.

The battery was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and deployed for a three-year registration on 5 August 1861 under the command of Captain Edward H. Flood.

Battery attached to the Buell Division, the Potomac Army, October 1861 to March 1862. Artillery, Division 1, IV Corps, Potomac Army, until September 1862. Artillery, 3rd Division, VI Corps, Potomac Army, until May 1863. Brigade Artillery, VI Corps, until June 1863. Camp Barry, Defense Washington, DC, until August 1863. Unrestricted Artillery, West Virginia Department, until December 1863. 1st Brigade, 1st Division, West Virginia Department, until January 1864 The Wheaton Brigade, West Virginia Department, until April 1864. The Artillery Brigade, West Virginia Department, until January 1865. First Separate Brigade, West Virginia Department, until May 1865. 2nd Infantry Division, West Virginia Department, until June 1865.

Victim

Battery lost a total of 30 people during service; 11 enlisted men were killed or seriously wounded, 1 officer and 18 enlisted men died of disease.
