Chambers Street is a two-way street in the New York City district of Manhattan.

It runs from River Terrace, Battery Park City, west, past PS 234 (Independence School) and Stuyvesant High School to 1 Center Street, Manhattan Municipal Building, to the east. At the beginning of the 20th century the road continued through the gates of the building. Between Broadway and Center Street, Chambers Street forms the northern boundary of land around New York City Hall and Tweed Courthouse. Across from the Tweed Courthouse, the Surrogate Courthouse in Manhattan. 280 Broadway the Marble Palace, located on the west there, on the north side of Chambers. Starting in 2010, Chambers Street is fully reconstructed.

History
Chambers Street was named for attorney John Chambers (1710-1764), an important parishioner at Trinity Church in Manhattan, where he became a retired (1726-1757) and warden (1757-1765) church for 38 years, son of William Chambers, and husband of Anne Van Cortlandt. Chambers nephew is John Jay. John Murray, Chambers's legal partner, has a nearby Murray Street named after him.

The New York City Subway has stations in three places on Chambers Street:
- Chambers Street - World Trade Center (IND Eighth Avenue Line), on Church Street serving A , C , and E train
- Chambers Street (BMT Nassau Street Line), at Center Street serving the J and Z
- Chambers Street (IRT Broadway - Seventh Avenue Line), on West Broadway serving trains 1 , 2 , and 3
