The Great Indoors is a chain of home decorating stores in the United States, founded by Sears in 1997.

Description
The Great Indoors are each about 140,000 square feet. Employed nearly 300 employees for each store. The shops are organized around four main rooms in the house - kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and large living room - with a fifth area intended for floors and walls. each store will feature about 75 lifestyle sketches with over 50,000 items to help customers visualize solutions for their own rooms. brands are usually found in including Bosch, Kenmore, Bose, Calphalon, Corian, Croscill, Karastan, KitchenAid, Kohler, Thermador and Waverly.

History
The Great Indoors concept was introduced in 1997. Sears believes it has potential growth in the next 10 years. However, the chain did not prove successful and Sears stores were closed, starting with the first round in 2005. At one time, The Great Indoors had $ 550 million in sales.
On February 23, 2012, Sears Holdings Corp. announced it would close the remaining nine stores.
