iPhoneÃ, 4S (retroactively lowercase 'like iPhone 4s in September 2013) is a smartphone designed and marketed by Apple Inc. The iPhone 4S uses Apple A5 system-on-chip (SoC) that incorporates Imagination Technologies PowerVR SGX543 graphics processing unit (GPU). Joshua Topolsky of The Verge stated that "if this is a car, it will be a Mercedes" and that Siri is "probably one of Apple's most recent apps ever produced." Most reviewers think that Siri is the most important feature on iPhone 4S . Brian Chen from Wired says that "the incredible fifth-generation iPhone camera and fast dual-core processor is a classy addition, but Siri is the reason people should buy this phone."
Retrevo surveyed more than 1,300 US consumers and reported that 71 percent of all smartphone owners are not upset by the new iPhone 4S but 47 percent or almost half of iPhone 4 owners currently; 12 percent look forward to a bigger look, 21 percent want a fresh design, and 29 percent want 4G. Echoing technology experts, Reuters suggests that the lack of a more radical departure from the iPhone 4 could open up new market opportunities for competitors. Analyst C. K. Lu of Gartner believes that Apple no longer has the advantage and that the 4S will only sell because of brand loyalty, as fans have been expecting the iPhone 5 with a thinner profile, end-to-end screens, and more powerful features. These same fans also want the iPhone 4 which is cheaper and stripped.
