A quick connect fitting , also called quick disconnect or quick release coupling , is a coupling used to provide fast, make-or-break channel connections fluid transfer. Operated by hand, fast connection fitting replaces threaded connections or flanges, which require a wrench. When equipped with its own sealing valve, the fast connecting fitting will, once disconnected, automatically contains any liquid in the channel.
